My Review:
Wow. Wow. Wow. ‘Juliet Immortal’ is one of those books that make you go wow! :) It has a very unique twist on the classic love story of Juliet and Romeo and boy is it good!!
The characters were all really fresh and had flaws and good qualities. Juliet takes on the role of Ariel in the story and I liked her, she was just a normal down to earth girl. Romeo takes on Dylan, he was one weirdo! Seriously! In this story anyway :) He is so messed up and it is conveyed perfectly from his mad scenes, although in some respects you can’t help but find him somewhat appealing. Gross, I know. I loved Ben! He was a great character and I really enjoyed how they all developed as the story progressed!
There were MAJOR twists and turns! Some I didn’t expect, others I could guess –especially nearer the end. I couldn’t stop reading it! It is such a fantastic idea and Stacey Jay delivers it with ease. There are definitely moments of action in most chapters and packed with tons of suspense.
I thought the Ambassadors of Light was an interesting concept, although it didn’t pop up as much at the beginning, you definitely learn a lot near the end of the book. The horror elements were pretty scary and definitely added that dark edge to it. I enjoyed how it goes back in time to the old Romeo and Juliet that we know as the perfect love couple, it really emphasises the juxtaposition that the characters are now faced with.

I thought it was a pretty good read. A nice twist to an old love story. The only down side was that it closed in such a way that it could be the end, or there could be a sequal.
